The name “Concordia” means “hearts united.” In our case, we are united in the compassion and care of Jesus Christ. That is exactly the way we strive to live at Concordia Lutheran Church. We love and care for one another. We are a family, brothers and sisters united by our faith in Jesus and in the love that God has first shown to each of us. We welcome new members to the family every chance we get.
And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” (Luke 7:13, ESV)
The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. (Psalm 145:9, ESV)
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. (John 13:34, ESV)

What We Believe
Church is not about a building, it is about people. The members of Concordia are brothers and sisters united in our faith in Jesus Christ and in the love that God has first shown us. We believe wholeheartedly and unapologetically that the Holy Scriptures (the Bible) were breathed out by God and written down by His chosen people, exactly as God intended.
We believe the Word of God is timeless and just as true and applicable today as the day it was revealed to us. In our rapidly changing world, it is wonderfully strengthening and comforting to be grounded in the unchanging Word of our unchanging God.

Pastor Matthew Garred
God’s Word has two types of teaching, the law and the gospel. The law shows us our sins (sin is breaking God’s law by thoughts, words or deeds) which makes us aware of our need for a savior. We all have sinned, no matter how good we try to be. The gospel shows us our savior, who came to deliver us from our sin and restore a right relationship between us and our heavenly Father, who is both loving and just.
There are many churches in the world today that strive to tell people what they want to hear. We strive, to speak the truth in love.
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ. (Ephesians 4:15, ESV)
